Rupert Christie

PRODUCER/MIXER/ARRANGER

Rupert started his career as an orchestrator under the film composer Michael Kamen. Since then he has co-produced and engineered many of Karl Jenkins classical albums and also worked with producers such as Bob Ezrin, Hal Wilner and Nick Patrick. He has played keys for the Scissor Sisters on tour and arranged the strings and brass for many artists including Coldplay, Kate Bush, U2 and Green Day. Rupert also has a number of film credits including orchestrating the musical blockbuster Mamma Mia with Benny from Abba as well as mixing the cult Joy Division film, Control in 5.1. He is currently the Musical Director for Lou Reed as well as Echo & The Bunnymen. He has recently produced, arranged and mixed albums for a variety of artists including Only Men Aloud's second album "Band Of Brothers" for Decca Records which won Album Of The Year at this years Classical Brits, Rhydian Robert's second album for Syco and the winner of the People's Crooner competition on Alan Titchmarsh show, Jason Isaacs. He has also just finished producing the UK Top Ten album for The Port Isaac Fisherman's Friends on Island records and is co-writing with a number of other artists/ bands.
